The research area, which locates in concealed region of southwest in Shandong Province, is carpeted with the thicker Cenozoic strata, and base rocks aren't exposed. Although the obvious gravity and aeromagnetic anomalies exist in geophysical prospecting, there is a little borehole data that reveals fundamental geology and verifies the development of magnetite. Due to lack of systemic prospecting data, many scholars don't put emphasis on it, resulting in the research degree is comparatively weak.This paper is finished based on project of Shandong Institute of Geologic Survey that is investigation and evaluation of iron ore in Shanxian region and evaluation of polymetallic ore in West Shandong region. Recently, in the process of working for the project, the stronger mineralization of chalcopyrite was found in ZK0001 and ZK0004. According to the project and acquired drilling data, this paper carries out analysis on fundamental geological data, geophysical prospecting data, geological background of iron and copper mineralization, etc., and contains that the research area is of Shanxian uplift, which has been verified, and the boundary is also defined. Based on Crystal Optical, Ore Phase, Geochemistry of the Elements, Geochemistry of Ore Deposit, Isotope Geochemistry, field record of drill core, indoor analysis of elements, microscopic feature of minerals, etc., this paper ascertains the source of metallogenic material and the metallogenic structures, discuses the metallogenic epoch, summarizes the genesis of ore deposits, and lastly establishes the metallogenic model.Based on this research, this paper contains that as a part of Fengpei uplift, the Shanxian uplift lifts gradually with the evolution of West Shandong uplift, more than neighbor areas in height, Shancaoyu formation of Taishan rock suite is the only base rocks here, and the borehole data reveals that its ancient weathering surface appears as tilted form of northwest is higher and southeast is lower, which closely related to the formation of Longwangmiao and Litianlou faults and the intrusion of magma. Geochemical characteristics of the elements show that metallogenic materials are mainly from mantle, not crust and country rocks. According to metasomatic secondary relation of metallic minerals, structure and texture in ore, there are three mineralization periods:metamorphic mineralization period, magmatic mineralization period and gas-water hydrothermal mineralization period, among which the magmatic mineralization period can be divided into three stages, and chalcopyrite is formed in the first and second stage. By summarizing, it thinks that age of magmatic rocks intrusion is the Late Yanshan Period. Through isotope age of Re-Os, it thinks that metallogenic age is act III of the Yanshan Period. According to mineralization mechanism of source-migrate-move, this paper contains that copper ore deposit belong to type of magmatic genesis. For the mineralization mechanism, this paper deals with similarities and dissimilarities between the plates tectonic movement in region and evolution of mantle plume, and verifies the consistency of mineralization. Lastly, based on the actual geological condition and view of multistage evolution of mantle plume, this paper establishes the metallogenic model of copper. The research results may provide some references for the exploration work for Cu, Mo ore deposit in the study area and the Southwest Shandong.
