The parameters of seafloor play a significant role in the character of acoustic propagation in shallow water. Seafloor inversion technique is an effective method that can obtain the seafloor parameters of a wide region quickly. This paper is based on ray theory. The theoretical model used to calculate eigen rays trace and their traveling time is established to inverse the seafloor parameters in three-dimensional ocean environment. It is verified the feasibility that seafloor parameters such as the thickness of sediment layer, the sound velocity in sediment layer, the slope angle of sea bed, deflexion angle, etc can be inversed by resolving nonlinear equation group satisfied by eigen rays and their traveling time. And the influence of the selection of elements duration of hydrophone array on the inversion results is analyzed. The simulation results show that, solving the nonlinear equation group by the classical Newton descent method has the advantage of fast speed of inversion and high accuracy, and which is applied in the fast inversion of seafloor parameters. Besides, software with convenient operation interface for inversing seafloor parameters according to the inversion model is developed by Visual C++ in the windows environments.
