The Santanghu Basin takes on a northwest structural framework macroscopically, that is, the center is located the northeast thrust and nappe tectonic and the southwest one,and the center geotectogence is divided into nine sub-tectonic units from east to west, is Hanshuiquan depression, Shitoumei preiection, Tiaohu depression, Chahaquan preiection, Malang depression, Fangliang preiection, Naomaohu depression, Weibei preiection, Suluke depression.Carboniferous stratum partition of the Santanghu basin could be divided into the Batamayinei group, the Haerjiawu group, the Kalagang group and the Jiangbasitao group. Carboniferous volcanic facies of the Santanghu Basin contents overflow facies, outbreak facies and volcanic-sedimentary facies, outbreak facies is most one, then overflow facies and volcanic-sedimentary facies. The main volcanic rocks are pyroclastic rocks and lavas. The volcanic pyroclastic rocks are composed of tuff, volcanic agglomerate, while the lavas are composed of basalt and basaltic andesite. Vesicular basalt and basaltic andesite mainly distributed in roof and floor of the flow unit. The volcanic rocks are gabbro, diabase, diabase porphyrite, olivine basalt, diorite, andesite, andesite, rhyolitic tuff, Melt qualitative tuff and so on. The Santanghu Basin, which is located in the northeast of Xinjiang, is the important part of palezoic orogenic belt in northern Xinjiang. It's lined with Aermantai, Wukungu-KuPu depression and Kelamaili tectonie zon, and they together made up the north-western basin and mountain tectonic zone. With detailed studies on mineralogy, petrology, geochronology and geochemical together with previous research results and the latest exploration data, this paper presents the new data of mineral petrology and geochemical of rocks from the Sangtanghu Basin, Heilongjian province.Contamination by continental crust or lithosphere can yield subduction type signatures and lead to the misidentification of contaminated continental basalts as arc related ones. Through investigating the geochemical characteristics, we conclude that ingneous rocks from Santanghu region should origin from the tectonic environment of the continental intraplate setting, at least in the time of Carboniferous.
