Multiple stratigraphic division and correlation of Lower and Middle Triassic in Northeast China where includes Heilongjiang Province, Jilin Province, northern Liaoning Province and east of the Inner Mongolia Region was studied according to integrative stratigraphy theory and the idea of multiple stratigraphic division and correlation advocated by "International Stratigraphic Guide" and "China Stratigraphic Guide & China Stratigraphic Guide Manual". And on this basis, analysis and mapping of lithofacies palaeogeography were accomplished in accordance with the viewpoint of mobilistic theory.First of all, in view of complex structure and the low level of research in Northeast China, make depth analysis from the start of collection of previous data and comprehensive field reconnalssance. Then lithostratigraphic units sequence was established after lithostratigraphic units cleaning. Datum profiles were detailed description according to subprovinces. Secondly, by means of research about chronostratigraphic units, chronostratigraphic classification history and correlation with international standard of Early-Middle Triassic were mastered. Lithostratigraphic division and correlation table of Early and Middle Triassic in Northeast China were established. Thirdly, the above analysis, combined with the area assisting study of isotope stratigraphy and seismic stratigraphy,3 map units of lithofacies palaeogeography of Lower and Middle Triassic were proposed, then the staggered grid-like and high-precision division were studied in accordance with 3 map units. Lower and Middle Triassic multiple stratigraphic division and correlation tables were accomplished. Fourthly, on the basis of the above analysis, Lower and Middle Triassic sedimentary evolution and sedimentary characteristics of different groups were analysed. Finally, in Northeast China, lithofacies palaeogeography of each map units were researched and 8 lithofacies paleographic maps were accomplished.
