Daqing oil field and most of continental oil production wells are characteristics ofmulti-production layer and low yields. With the further development, many oil fields are in aperiod of high water cut, large oil production process and gas production, leading to that theturbine flow rate and water cut measurement precision is low because of its special physicalproperties. The existing determining downhole oil/gas/water three-phase flow profiles of flowrate and water cut is the main method of three-phase flow by measuring the total flow rate,water holdup, gas holdup and liquid density and other parameters, and the combination oftemperature, pressure and oil/gas/water physical property parameters of oil/gas/water phaseflow. Therefore, the gas holdup in three-phase flow measurement is one of the importantparameters, accurate measurement of gas holdup has important practical significance andpractical application value.This study begins from the three-phase flow research status at home and abroad as wellas the optical fiber sensing technology development history, and investigates deeply opticalfiber gas holdup made from School of Information of Yanshan University, introduces thetesting principle and the hardware structure. The dynamic experiments were carried out in theDaqing Oilfield Company Limited testing technology services branch three-phase flowexperiment base for simulation experiment.This thesis is to investigate the flow type optical fiber gas holdup logging instrument inthe three-phase flow in response to rule, so most of the experiment also concentrate in the oil/water/gas three-phase flow, the water/gas two-phase flow experiments were performed inonly three group, respectively:(1) hydrostatic environment gas holdup. Measurement;(2) thewater/gas content of80party environment gas holdup measurement;(3)capacity for10different moisture environment of gas holdup measurement. For oil/water/gas phase flowexperiment, first of all to keep oil, water change, regulation of gas content, from5m3/D35m3/D, and then change the oil, water content of repeated experiment. Finally the datamapping, data analysis, summed up the law.A lot of experiments are summarized and it is found that the existing packer type opticalfiber gas holdup logging instrument is not suitable for high oil low water environment.
