Qualitative evaluation of source rocks is an important part of the source rocksevaluation,and an identification of the work early in the exploration of source rocks. The mainanswer is the existence of source rocks in exploration areas? Which rock is the source rock?How is the quality of the source rocks? The oil and gas is generated by organic matter,therefore, the extent of the level and ability of hydrocarbon generated of organic matter decidethe size of the hydrocarbon factors of hydrocarbon source rocks. Oil-source correlation candefine their own source or destination and determine the main source rock and hydrocarbonmigration in the direction of the filling ways. It's very important to define Oil-sourcecorrelation and detemine the oil and gas generation factors for forecasting the direction of theresource potential and exploration significance.The west depression of the Liaohe basin eastern sag,Tiejianglu-Dawan structural belt,has made some Progress, but the oil source in the block has been plagued by the researchideas of exploration personnel. Evaluation of source rocks and oil-source correlation ishelpful to in-depth study for the area to further exploration. Tiejianglu-Dawan structuralbelt,constructed with the geological background, the evaluation of hydrocarbon source rocks,oil-source correlation in-depth study results show that the area have the main source rocks forthe Sand Three of the dark mudstone, which is a semi-deep lake-deep lake deposits, weaklyoxidation-oxidation of the depositional environment. The main source rocks have the higherabundance of organic matter between2780~2800m, Sand3source rocks get into the mature-the higher mature stage.And the source rocks of deep dePression area get into generatinghydrocarbon peak period. The type of parent source rock is based on hybrid,the most of whichis aquatic organisms input. Using the various methods means that the Tiejianglu 's oil and gasfrom source rocks in the area, with the migration of oil and gas coming from the east to thenorthwest; the Dawan structural belt of oil and gas from under source rocks in the middle andlower segments of Sand3, the direction pointing from the Wan8to wells15. Oulituozi's oiland gas come from the local source rock, the distance of migration is shorter. The direction ofthe Xiaolongwan's oil and gas is from the Xiao24to Xiao22, Xiao23.
