River facies are the dominant sedimentary facies in the reservoir of X oil field. Wellcharacteristics of reservoir change rapidly. The reservoir has strong horizontal anisotropismand complicated overlying relationship in vertical direction.3D seismic exploration was nottaken before2007in the study area, which caused fault combination was explained with thelogging data and made accurately describing characteristics of any kind of sand distributingbetween wells and distribution characteristic of sedimentary microfacies in river channel ofsingle period very hard. So improving explanation accuracy is eagerly needed for satisfyingthe product need.The study area is located in the north of X oil field. The study section is SaⅡ formation.The paper is firstly based on elemental characteristic of oil field reservoir. Guided by thesequence stratigraphy, sedimentology and oil geology and based on the technique of3Dseismic explanation, technique of seismic data conversion of high resolution and technique ofsedimentary facies analysis and combined with seismic and logging data, the well-seismicdemarcation of single well and integrated wells is done in the study area. With the techniqueof coherent cube, accurate horizon and fault explanation are completed in the study area.Other horizons in SaⅡ formation are accurately demarcated.15faults of SaⅡ formation areexplained. So are the newly found faults. The accuracy of structure explanation is improved.With the technique of horizontal slice and tendency analysis,21micro structures are detected.The purpose of accurate structure explanation is accomplished. With the well-seismicsimulation inversion and well data, the characteristic of sand distribution and the relationshipof sand leap is reasonably anticipated. The reservoir characteristic of macroscopic distributionand microscopic architecture characteristics in reservoir are accurately researched anddescribed. And the lack of information between wells is made up. The first and second kindsand are effectively analyzed. So is effective thickness of those. The description of sand shapebetween wells is improved. The sedimentary maps are done. With the application in fact in Xoil field, the practicability and effectiveness of method of well-seismic reservoir explanationhas been elementarily proved in the aspects of accurate structure explanation and reservoirdescription and the microfacies research. The method has played a guided role in coordinatingold oil field and detecting potentiality.
