Aerobic granular sludge is a new technology, which developed on the basis of anaerobic granular sludge. Compare with anaerobic granules, the aerobic granules's start-up period is much shorter than that of the anaerobic granules, and more stable when used to treat the organic wastewater. Compared with conventional activated sludge system, the aerobic granules's process of effluent separating is simple, and the system can withstand the unfavorable hydraulic effect and toxic substances. Recently, it has been paied attention of the scholars. This paper cultivated the aerobic granular sludge in the SBR reactors which is inoculated anaerobic granular sludge using synthetic wastewater. Discount the rapid culture methods of aerobic granular sludge and the mature nature of aerobic granular sludge. Through comparative analysis the different of sludge granulation between inoculated anaerobic granular sludge and aerobic granular sludge. In order to investigate the feasibility of aerobic granular sludge treatment monosodium glutamate wastewater, we study the characteristics of pollutant removal in the course of granulation. And provide a theoretical basis for practical applications of aerobic granular sludge reactor.Using synthetic wastewater inoculated anaerobic granular sludge in the SBR reactors. The SBR reactor succeeded in cultivation of the aerobic granular after after the reactor operated 45d.the mature aerobic granular sludge's diameter is 1.6-2.8mm. After successfully cultivating aerobic granular sludge, through adapting the operational conditions of SBR. We also study cultivated the aerobic granular sludge in the same SBR reactor which is inoculated anaerobic granular sludge using monosodium glutamate wastewater.The SBR reactor can't succeeded in cultivation of the aerobic granular after the reactors operated 45d, there's only a small amount of particle size smaller granular sludge and lots of massive flocculent body. Use the aerobic granular sludge system which is cultivated by the synthetic wastewater to process monosodium glutamate wastewater.Gradually increase the proportion of monosodium glutamate wastewater into the inflow. In this process, the ammonia nitrogen removal rate unchanged, the removal rate of COD gradually reduce, the removal rate of TN enhancement slightly. When the synthetic wastewater was completely replaced by the monosodium glutamate wastewater, the COD, NH+-N and TN removal efficiencies could reach more than 90%,99% and 85%. Now the system run under the condition of the colume exchange rate is 50% and the response cycle is 6h. After deal with the monosodium glutamate wastewater the aerobic granular sludge's particle size smaller, the granule structure is more strength, and the granular sludge is not disintegration.The PCR-DGGE shows that the nitromonas were very dissimilar in different reactors. The predominant bacteria also difference in different reactors. The aerobic granular sludge system's nitromonas were more multiformity than other reactors.
