With the continuous improvement of industrial automation, CNC machine tools has been widely used in many industries such as aerospace, shipbuilding, nuclear power, automotive and so on. It improves the accuracy and production efficiency of product processing greatly, corporate's dependence with CNC machine tools are growing stronger and stronger, so a absence of fault conditions of CNC machine tools are needed by the users.The condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system of CNC machine tools determines status based on the various feature information which are produced during the running of CNC machine tools.It has great significance in promoting the reliability of machine operation and machining accuracy.It also improved the efficiency of the whole production lines.Firstly, the development and key technology of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis in China and abroad are introduced.On the basis of studying structural characteristics of the CNC machine tools and causes of the key mechanical components fault, established the CNC intelligent condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system.This paper is to intensively study certain key technology, such as data acquisition and storage, feature extraction, intelligent fault diagnosis, which provide technical support for subsequent software development.Finally, a user-oriented and integration-friendly system of the CNC intelligent condition monitoring and fault diagnosis is designed and made.This system is operated in Window OS and developed with Visual C++, MATLAB. By analysis details of the user needs, determined the overall structure of the software.lt includes information management subsystem, data acquisition subsystem, on-line condition monitoring subsystem and fault diagnosis subsystem.Information management subsystem used to implement the machine tool information systematic, standardized and automated management. Data acquisition subsystem designed as Windows services program, this subsystem used to achieve high-speed signal acquisition and storage capabilities.On-line condition monitoring subsystem is the core of the software system. This subsystem select sensitivity characteristics from the signal and determine the status of CNC machine tool parts.Intelligent fault diagnosis subsystem diagnosis judge CNC machine tools status by a variety of Intelligent diagnosis methods.this subsystem has high reliability in Identify fault.The software can be timely and correctly diagnose the key components of CNC machine tools's status which contain abnormal status and fault status.It can prevent and eliminate failures.It also can improve the reliability of CNC machine tools. Intelligent condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system of the CNC machine tools has passed through field debugging and testing, and can run normally and smoothly. All designed aims of work have been achieved.
