In this paper, the AC(acivated carbon) loaded copper and lanthanon was prepared with wood dust as raw material and applied for treatment of simulated wastewater.Based on single experiment method for determineing the opimal use level of copper nitrate, Design-Expert7.0 software was used to design testing program and establish response surface model. When the wood dust is 10g, the optimal prearation conditions were:copper nitrate solution (0.5mol·L-1)15mL, activation temperature 690℃, activation time 2.1h and activating agent (40% mass fraction of H3PO4) 56 mL. The AC loaded copper that was made on these condisitons treat with simulated wastewater, color removal rate and COD removal rate reach to 99.80% and 88.34%, the corresponding discharge indexes of color and COD were 32 (diluent fold) and 75 mg·L-1Then using single experiment method was optimized the AC loaded copper process by adding cerium or lanthanum element. When adding cerium element, the AC loaded copper and cerium, which add 15mL cerium nitrate solution (0.1mol·L-1) in the impregnaion process, treat with simulated wastewater can reach the best effect. When adding lanthanum element, the acivated carbon loaded copper and lanthanum, which add lOmL lanthanum nitrate solution (0.1mol·L-1) in the impregnaion process, treat with simulated wastewater can reach the best effect.Using the X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy characterize the AC from market, the AC prepared in lab and the AC loaded copper oxide prepare in lab, and analysis of these results.Then the AC loaded copper and cerium was used to catalytic oxidation Acid Red GR wastewater and Reactive Red X-3B wasterwater as a catalyst. When treatment of 2g·L-1 Acid Red GR wastewater, using single experiment method confirm the optimal conditions:use catalyst 0.5g, aeration time 2h, the original wastewater value of PH. On these conditons, color removal rate and COD removal rate reach to 99.90% and 92.06%, the corresponding discharge indexes of color and COD were 32 (diluent fold) and 96 mg·L-1. When treatment of 2.4g·L-1 Reactive Red X-3B wastewater, using single experiment method confirm the optimal conditions:use catalyst 0.5g, aeration time 2h, the original wastewater value of pH. On these conditons, color removal rate and COD removal rate reach to 99.92% and 92.39%, the corresponding discharge indexes of color and COD were 16 (diluent fold) and 64 mg·L-1Finally, the microwave heating method was used to revive the AC loaded copper and cerium, the microwave oven's output power was 800W and the microwave heating time was 8min. When the revive reactions to the third time repeat, the wastwater COD removal rate was 55.76% and color removal rate was 60.36%, to the fourth, the catslyst activity had almost lost.
