Deep processing is involved almost all of the machinery manufacturing industry, mainly in high-tech industries, such as hydraulic engineering, engineering machinery, aerospace manufacturing and other areas. Deep processing involved in these areas is becoming more and more technical difficulty. It is especially difficult to measure the diameter, due to limited space measuring apparatus and the inconvenient adjustment of operation. Online active Measurement of Deep hole processing refers to the real-time measurement in the process of the deep hole machining, showing the size and status of inner diameter of the workpiece, sending corresponding signal to adjust, according to the measurement conditions at any time. The method of the active online measurement of deep hole processing is currently only widely applied in the mechanical grinding and honing processing. Honing processing is a kind of deep hole processing, this paper mainly takes the honing processing as an example to study the method of the active online measurement of deep hole processing.The purpose of this paper is to develop a high-quality low-cost way to make a more accurate sensor, minimize the impact of the operator, eliminate the interference to the monitor during operation, analysis the real-time monitoring datas, obtain the process parameter of Diameter, and ultimately achieve the active online measurement.This paper firstly builds the laboratory work platform to simulate the environment of honing processing, designs a new type of eddy current sensors according to the characteristics of the honing processing, analyzes and calibrations the performance of the sensors, displays the changes of the measured diameter in the hardware show and PC through the slip ring transmission and wireless transmission, obtains the process parameter of Diameter, and ultimately achieves the active online measurement.The paper includes the following sections:(1) The acquisition of information of diameter in the deep hole processing Firstly a laboratory platform is built to simulate the deep Hole processing, the method of employing the eddy current sensors to measure the diameter of deep hole is decided by comparison, and a new type of eddy current sensors is designed especially for measurement in limited environment. Besides the calibration and dynamic analysis of the eddy current sensors are made and the test of performance of its repeatability, accuracy, resolution shows a good result.(2) Information transmission and display in the processing. Reliable communications are made between the digital measurement information processing device and the numerical control equipment, the slip ring is used to transmit power signal, wireless single chip wireless is used to send wireless signal, finally the signals of measured diameter which is acquired by the eddy current sensors are displayed in the hardware show and PC.(3) Experimental results and analysis of simulated active online measurement of deep hole processing in the laboratory environment.Eventually in the laboratory environment the active online measurement of deep hole processing is realized, the real-time display of diameter is achieved. Finally the accuracy of designed eddy current sensors is of 0.2% FS and the honed hole is above size IT6.
