The fourth limestone of Taiyuan formation is thick, water-rich, the distance between which and the main excavating coal seam is small and not uniform. The fourth limestone karst water posed a threat to excavation of the 8th coal seam.On the basis of looking up in a reference source of both domestic and foreign books in development of studying on seam floor water inrush, garthering related hydrologic geology data and analyzing regional and coal mine geology,this paper evaluated the water inrush risk of the 8th coal seam floor in deep exploitation area of Xuzhuang coal mine comprehensively. On the basis of the water quality test data of every aquifer of rencent years, this paper also took advantage of the piper trilinear chart to analyze the water quality pattern of each aquifer,built the water resource distinguishing pattern through step by step discriminate analysis method; According to the statistics of data which came from 232 drills of the mining area, drew thickness contour of the fourth limestone formation,contour of distance from the 8th coal seam to the fourth limestone formation and contour water inrush parameter; calculated the destroy depth during the process of the 8th coal seam mining trough "Tree down zone" regularity empirical formula and numerical simulation; evaluated the risk of water inrush of the 8th mine seam floor on the level of-750m with the formula of revised parameters, combined with Stoiko Sakaliev formula;proposed the measures of preventing water-inrush.This paper also determined three relative water enriched areas as the location of unrestrained drills through electric method and TEM in the -750m level alley. Coal floor transformation technology is used in preventing coal floor water inrush widely in rencent years. This paper drew a proliminary study on the anchoring and stablizing effect of grouting steel pipe and analyzed this effect on the strength and deformation of coal mine.
