We studied on wastewater from Huaihua and soil from AnChengPu sewage irrigation in Huainan. We tested pH, organic matter, available phosphorus, total nitrogen and heavy metals by national methods, and determinated enzyme activites by GuanShoin "Soil enzyme and its research method". The main results are as follows:1 The soil in sewage irrigation area is neutral. pH values is 6.58-7.48, organic matter content is 10.62-34.2, total nitrogen content is 0.009657-0.020444, available phosphorus content is 0.36-0.78. The soil in this sewage irrigation is poor of nitrogen and P, and it still needs nitrogen, phosphate fertilizer.2 Compared with soil quality standard Gradeā…”, part of the irrigation area soil is still clear but exceeded the warning line, another part of the soil is light pollution, so as the crops.3 Catalase activities and phosphorus activities would be weak with pH. Dehydrogenase activity and Catalase activities would be strong with soil organic matter increasing, urease activity and protease activities would be strong with total nitrogen. Dehydrogenase activity and Catalase activities would be weak with available phosphorus increasing.4 Generally, heavy metals had different inhibition effect on soil enzyme activities. In this sewage irrigation, Cd had certain inhibition effect on protease; Cr had different inhibitory effect on protease activity and urease activity; Pb had inhibitory effect on soil protease activity, urease activity and phosphatase activity in varying degrees; Cu had a positive effect on protease activity while had inhibitory effect on the phosphatase activity.5 By comparison, On the whole, compared to the control points, The results are basically consistent with two evaluation methods. The majority of the irrigation area is moderate pollution. But there are some differences. That some of the soil is slightly polluted when evaluated by phosphatase activity; the D sample points that are seriously polluted when evaluated by heavy metals comprehensive index.
