Recently, scientists have paid attention to the research of Metal—Organic frameworks(MOFs),because of its outstanding properties such as gas (especially hydrogen and carbon dioxide) absorption, separation and so on. MOFs possess many potential applications such as catalyse, molecular recognition, ion exchange, ultra-high purity separation, biological conducting material, photovaltaic material, magnetic materials and chip, which have showed an attractive prospect of application. In this thesis, we have successfully isolated four novel complexes by introducing two unique ligands and rare earth metals-Er,transition metal centers-Pb and Cu.In chapterⅠ, concept of MOFs, strategies of design, main application and the background of our research work have been introduced. In chapterⅡ, we used 4,6-dimethyl-5-nitroisophthalic acid as ligand to synthesize a layered erbium-organic framework Er2(H20)(dmf)-(dna)3·(bipy)0.5·2H2O·dmf (1). The uncoordinated 4,4'-bipy ligands play a template role in the formation of the 2D layer. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first 2D lanthanide-organic framework that synthesized by templated synthesis. In chapterⅢ, we used tetracarboxylic ligand to synthesize three new complexes by solvothermal reaction.
