Low-dimensional nanomaterials are the basic component unit of devices and materials, which will play an important role in building integrated circuits and functional devices. The preparation and processing of low-dimensional nanomaterials have become key components in the field of nanotechnology. In recent years, electrospinning technology has been proved to be one of the effective methods to prepare inorganic oxides low-dimensional nanomaterials owing to its high efficiency, simple operation and so on. Al2O3:Cr3+(Ruby) is an important laser material due to its excellent properties. Recently, Low-dimensional Al2O3:Cr3+ nanomaterials have also aroused a lot of concern from scientists. Therefore, fabrication of Al2O3:Cr3+ low-dimensional luminescent nanomaterials via electrospinning will be a meaningful subject of significance.In the dissertation, Al2O3:Cr3+ and Cr2O3 nanofibers and nanobelts were fabricated via electrospinning, and Al2O3:Cr3+ hollow nanofibers were fabricated by coaxial electrospinning. The samples were systematically characterized by thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis(TG-DTA), field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM), x-ray diffractometry(XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrometry(FTIR) and fluorescence spectroscopy. The results show that the diameter of the Al2O3:Cr3+ and Cr2O3 nanofiber ranged from 78 to 100 nm, the width of the Al2O3:Cr3+ and Cr2O3 nanobelt ranged from 1 to 2μm, the thickness of the prepared composite nanobelt ranged from 100 to 200 nm.The photocatalytic activities of Cr2O3 nanofibers, nanobelts were studied by taking rhodamine B as degradation agent. The influence of various factors on the photocatalytic effect was also discussed, and some new meaningful results were obtained.
