It is very important to treat oily wastewater because oily wastewater endangers human health and environment. We designed the method of flocculation-membrane separation for the treatment of oily wastewater according to water quality characteristics of oily wastewater and former study.In this dissertation, we obtained a new flocculent with high efficiency by grafting and copolymerizing a-methacrylic acid on to starch. Under the optimal synthesize conditions, the efficiency of grafting reached as high as 60.3%. We investigated the effect of the quantity of starch, a-methacrylic acid and initiator, temperature, time of reaction on the efficiency of grafting.The developed modified starch flocculent cooperating inorganic complex flocculent was also successfully applied to the treatment of oily wastewater. Every condition was optimized by experiment. And orthogonal experiment was designed for optimizing system, the optimal conditions had been obtained finally. Under this condition, the removal efficiency of the system is good that the removal rate for oil is 75% and COD is 83.06% through the treatment of flocculation.We used coil hyperfiltration film to treat above oily wastewater. The removal rate for oil increase from 75% to 91% and COD is close to 100%.
