Lack of appropriate design specifications and standards, the major domestic use of analogy to achieve the empirical or semi-empirical design of the bag filter steel structure, product design of the normative and lean is difficult to be guaranteed, and it has become a bottleneck in restricting product development and application. The continuous development of CAE technology is more and more used in the filter of the whole structure, components structural design analysis and optimization, and so on, but nonlinear analysis method is still rare. This paper, combining the actual engineering research project, a large bag filter product selected as the research object, uses the finite element analysis software ANSYS for the filter of the whole structure and its key components structure to carry out the nonlinear analysis and optimization technology application.Mainly to complete the work and achievements, including:(1) Base on underlying assumptions and reasonable simplification, in accordance with the "faithful to the structure, faithful to the conditions" principle, this paper uses beam-shell element to create finite element model of the whole filter structure, and its simulation calculation, obtaining the whole structure response under the action of various loads.(2) Base on linear static analysis, it uses nonlinear analysis to optimize the analysis of filter box structure; in ensuring the case structure has sufficient strength and stiffness, it has achieved the purpose of the lightweight case structure. After optimization, the total weight of the box structure fell 17.8%.(3) Provided by ANSYS buckling analysis technology for the case before and after optimization structure to carry out stability analysis, Their respective linear and nonlinear buckling analysis, nonlinear buckling analysis in the full account of the structure of the initial geometric imperfections, large deformation effects and material nonlinearity and other factors, the results are more accurate and reliable, and prove that the nonlinear buckling analysis is necessary to determine the structural stability.(4) It uses sub-model technique for filter load-bearing parts -the structure of mudsill and ash bucket to process geometrically nonlinear analysis and optimization, resulting that, the structural of mudsill and ash bucket is designed reasonable, but its security is too high, with large optimization space, after optimization the total weight of the structure of mudsill and ash bucket decreased 32.6% and 11.2%.
