As the represent of material science, nano-technology impacts other subjects, industries and society with the background of the interaction of muti-subjects. Nanocomposites aroused the academia, the industry's attention in the past decade, because only a few percent of the nano-filler can improve composites'many properties. PA6/MMT nanocomposites has been used in engineering. Many properties of PA6/MMT nanocomposites such as preparation, surface modification of montmorillonite, mechanical properties, the dispersion of montmorillonite and thermodynamics properties have been studied by many scientific researchers. Although many of the nanocoposites'properties were studied roundly, the micro-characterization and micro-mechanics method needs more work. And the mechanism of montmorillonite in the nanocomposites requires research. In the condition of composite material design Increasing reliance on computer simulation, it is necessary that mechanics which is basic subject offering basic model and essential parameter in the computer simulation. The main research contents can be drawn as follows:1,Polyamide 6(PA6) / montmorillonite(MMT) nanocomposite was synthesized via in-situ polymerization. And the MMT proportion levels are between 0wt% and 5wt%.2,AFM is a conventional tool to directly observe the surface structure of the nanocomposite on a micrometer scale and even on a nanometer scale using tapping modle. Ultracryotomy method was proposed to prepare AFM sample in order to characterize the dispersion of the MMT nano-particles directly.3,SEM, DSC, TG, XRD, tensile test and notched impact test were performed. The thermal properties and mechanical properties were analyzed. The mechanism of montmorillonite in the matrix was discussed as well.4,The creep behavior of the PA6/MMT composites was analyzed by fractional order derivative model and Prony series model. And the result of Prony series model can be used in finite element software conveniently.5,The asymptotic homogenization method was used to predict the exfoliated PA6/MMT nanocomposites effective elastic properties.
