With the optical, electrical, catalytic properties of low-dimensional materials, a large number of energy is devoted to synthesize this type of material, and chemical and physical methods are also prepared a wide range of nano-structured materials. When the normal material is processed into extremely fine nanometer scale, there will be surface-specific effect, volume effect and quantum effect. At the same time,the optical, thermal, electrical, magnetic, mechanical and even chemical properties will be a corresponding significant variety.The core-shell structural nano composite material presents some novel physical and chemical properties because of special structure. These composite particles provide a robust platform for incorporating process ability and diverse functionalities because of fine-tuning the chemical composition, structure and sizes of the cores or shells. During the past decades, core-shell nanocrystals (CSNs) have been received much attention for their excellent optical, electrical, thermal, mechanical, electrooptical,magnetic and catalytical properties. The research progress in the synthesis of the formation mechanisms is reviewed. In this paper, preparation method and photo catalytic activity of core-shell structure nano particles are systematically reviewed and discussed.Using FeCl3.6H2O, NaAc and glucose as the main raw materials and C2H6O2 as a reducer, we triumphantly synthesized Fe3O4 and C spheres,then we added TAA; Zn(Ac)2 and CdCl2·2.5H2O,we also triumphantly synthesized core-shell structure materials-Fe3O4@MS (M=Zn, Cd) and C@MS (M=Zn, Cd).X-ray Diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and UV-Vis absorbance Spectroscopy were used to characterize the products.The results is that the products are spheres and fine dispersion.The MS successfully graft on the surface of Fe3O4 and C.Besides Fe3O4@MS (M=Zn, Cd) have well photocatalytic activity, It is also studied that its formation mechanism and an analysis of the formation of core-shell materials were discussed.
