The PTA refining process, produce a lot of PTA mother liquor, and in the mother liquor also contains around 0.5% of PTA particle, recycle this particle by the mother liquor filter. The filter bag is the core components. We have achieved the PTA filter bag nationalization. In practical applications, the filter bag appeared damaged phenomenon, causing the filter bag use life shortens, filtration efficiency decrease. In order to solve this problem, this topic is deeply studied PTA filter bag. First, from the filter bag in all kinds of production methods for selecting the most appropriate way. According to the work principle, factors affecting properties of the filter bag of material, analyzes cause the filter bag failure reasons. Filter bag samples of strength and elongation at break, bubbling aperture, shrinkage performance, influence on the performance of the filter bag itself. Meanwhile in the laboratory experiment device, preparation the mother liquor containing 0.5% PTA particles, simulation filtration process of the PTA particles. Through measuring and records, get the filter bag filter performance related data, a theoretical model of filtration process. According to the experimental data, the method of numerical simulation by using FLUENT, the hypothesis in 2d space inside, flow field in tube bag filter is incompressible and steady laminar mode, parameters and time is irrelevant, pressure big changes in temperature, the whole process for incompressible isothermal process, using the nominal rate of porous medium velocity formula, Simulation of filter bag inside and outside the velocity field and pressure field. Get two different forms of speed and pressure distribution. Conclusion: because by lateral openings into the mother liquor, tube bag of speed distribution is not axisymmetric type distribution, n the filter bag outside, the top speed is low, the bottom speed is high. lower form vortex; inside speed the top is high, the bottom is low. The same height of radial velocity is asymmetry, the filter bag of radial velocity is the largest. Relative to the velocity field pressure field is stable, The filter bag inside and outside pressure value is constant, only obvious pressure difference . Finally, according to the analysis, we get the improvement scheme of filter bag. Test it and then compare with original. Conclusion: after improving the filter bag is the same with original in bubbling aperture and shrinkage performance. But elongation at break is better than the original. Because of the filter bag decreased diameter, reducing the chances of getting creases and increasing the using life. The improving filter bag is better than improved. Manufacturers recognized research conclusion fully , it reached the research purpose.
