Toxaphene is belongs to a kind of persistent organic pollutants are accumulated in the food chain and inflenced the above trophic level organisms, which may swarm long-distance and crate harmful or toxic effect to the organisms in the corresponding concentration.Toxaphene's components are so complex that it was difficult to analyses exactly in the air and water sample.The thesis aims at studying the technical toxaphene and four toxaphenes(P26,P32,P50,P62) in air sample,which systematic research in extraction,cleanup and detection technique.The study contents the following four parts:Part 1:Review of toxaphene environmental behavior and analysis technology.Part 2:The object of study is technical toxaphene,make the pretreatment in a good condition.The result shows that 5%ether/hexane is the right eluant by reaserched the extraction efficiency of different types of eluants.The recovery is between92.5%and109%.Then,compare alumina with Florisil cartridges,Optimized eluant,elution volume et all.At last, it shows that Florisil cartridges is the more appropriate purify toxaphene. The results indicate that the advantage condition is that eluant, elution volume are selected as hexane/acetone(1:1),10ml respectively the recovery is 90.0%~91.8%.The limits of detection are 0.009mg/L,The method is found to yield a linear calibration curve in the concentration ranging from 25~750mg/L.Part 3:Gas chromatography's injector temperature and temperature program are optimized. It is researched to clean Organochlorine pesticide and Polychlorinated biphenyls passage. A method for the determination of four single toxaphene in air have developed using Gas chromatography. Use external standard method for quantitative analysis .The method has good linear in the concentration ranging from 5to180ug/L.The results demonstrate that the detection limits for P26,P32,P50 and P60 was 0.0004mg/L,0.0004mg/L,0.0005mg/L and 0.0003mg/L.The recovery rates are within 87.5%~120%,the precisions are1.4%~9.5%.The recovery rates of surrogate are80.8%~110%.Part 4:Through the analyses of the interferences included Organochlorine pesticide and polychlorinated biphenyls by Gas chromatography-Negative chemistry ionization mass chromatography, a method for the determination of four single toxaphenes in air have developed using Gas chromatography-Negative chemistry ionization mass chromatography. Through SIM mode, internal standard method for quantitative analysis, The results reveal that the detection limits for P26,P32,P50 and P60 is 0.0004mg/L,0.0007mg/L,0.0006mg/L and 0.0004mg/L.The recovery rates arewithin 87.5%~110%,the precisions are0.6%~10%.The recovery rates of surrogate are62.9%~102%.
