With the rapid economic development in estuaries, estuarine areas are becoming increasingly serious environmental pollution, including heavy metals pollution in estuaries important potentially harmful pollutants. Using 210Pb dating and the use of CRS model calculated deposition rate Sheyang estuary, the paper compares the two column samples of the temporal variability of the deposition rate. The deposition rate of cores 2-2 and 2-3 have same trend over time, that the deposition rate first increases, then decreases and then increases. This paper also analyzes the sediment cores of heavy metal distribution with grain size distribution. The results showed that the percentage of clay content and heavy metals As, Pb, Cu, Zn, Ni content showed positive changes, and correlation is very high. Correlation between clay and Cr is very small.According to the definition of factor analysis and the elements of source characteristics, we have come to the first factor represents the background value of each element of the environment impact of human activities, and the second factor represents the impact of the various elements. According to the contribution of each factor and the factor loadings showed that As, Pb, Cu, Zn, Niand Al elements of the main elements of the background value determined by the environment, Cr elements influenced by human activities in the Sheyang estuarine.Using of geological potential ecological risk index and index combines two methods to evaluate the Sheyang heavy metals in estuarine sediment pollution. Two evaluation methods come to the same conclusion:there is heavy metal pollution in Sheyang Estuary, but is light pollution, it is not serious; in contrast, Cr metal pollution is more serious. In the 1980 to 1989 and from 1998 to 2003, Geo-accumulation Index (Igeo) of column 2-2 greater than zero, indicating that the estuary in the two stages polluted by Cr element.
