Reconstituted decorative lumber is a new kind of decorative wooden material. Its development is very important to the natural forest protection and fast-growing wood use, and round out decorative wooden material, advances surface ornamental materials development.The shape of the texture is very important to the quality of the product.In this paper, different texture of the Reconstituted decorative lumber is designed and researched with the computer simulation technique, and make the base for the construction of texture and mould database. At the same time,the texture and mould designed in the paper can be directly used for production.Based on the different sources of the design, the reconstituted decorative lumber falls into two main groups:texture simulated natural tree and art patterns. Many kinds of mould were designed in the paper, including vertical grain,flat-sawn grain,specified grain and art patterns.The parameters of the mould, the thickness of the veneer, and the cutting angle were obtained by identifying,analyzing and calculating the curve. Based on the texture and the calculations, it begins the molding of mould curver surface after section curve and cross Splines being builded. A three-dimension design software UG was used to stimulate the cutting of the wood block designed for verification,and we can get a pleasing result by continual readjustment. Moreover, with changing the parameters of assemblage and cutting angle, decorative effect distinct from all others was formed.Curved surface of mould of the Cherry Tree Root were analyzed in UG software, the purpose is to know whether there is interference; curvature radius and camber were also analyzed, it can help us do something for mumerical control machining, press transter experiment and mould pressing experiment.Mould of Cherry Tree Root texture was made in the method of NC milling machining with mateeial of epoxy phenol aldehyde laminated glass panel.The stress of the mould of the Cherry Tree Root and veneer were analyzed in the finite element analysis software ANSYS. The conclusion indicates that the molding pressure has a little effect on mould, but it makes the veneers easily spring back.9 different curvature radius of concavo-convex rounded mould form 10 to 50 were used in press transter experiment on different number of veneer laysers, the result shows:with the increasing of curvature radius and number of veneer layers press was increased, but the fracture of veneers showed an upward turn. When the layers reached 30, press won't be transferred, so the veneer near die can't be bending with the mould. Mould of the Cherry Tree Root texture designed and produced in the paper was used to do some experiments. It shows that the result is consistent with the Cherry Root's texture simulated by UG This experiment proves the mould and design method used in the paper is feasibility, and they can meet the needs of industry.
