This article, through semi-dry process for gas desulphurization by double nozzle rectangular spouted bed, studies experimentally the domestic desulfurization of Calcium hydroxide as major desulfrizer with the mixture of SiO2 and hot air, and that of carbamide as major desulfurizer with the mixture of SiO2 and hot air. It aims to justify whether the desulfurization by double nozzle rectangular spouted bed as experimental base and with carbamide as a desulfurizer can be conformity with SO2 emission standard of Taijin Economic and Technical Development Zone so that we can get a reference for the desulphurization of our company. Taking carbamide and calcium oxide repectively as desulfurizers, this article studies the influence to desulphurization efficiency caused by the Moore rate of CO (NH2)2/SO2, Ca/S Moore rate, temperature difference of absolute saturation, inlet gas temperature, inlet SO2 density, bed height gap and so on. Study result obviously illustrates that desulphuration efficiency of calcium hydroxide is higher than that of carbamide, but the 2 desulphurizers can both meet the gas desulphurization of our company.By application cost analysis, carbamide takes much higher cost than calcium oxide, but it (carbamide) consumes less quantity and takes less equipment investment.Caramide removes not only sulphur but also saltpeter. Therefore, it has a very promising application outlook as a desulphurrizer.Concerning national environment protection policy, an emission standard on nitric oxide will be enacted in the near future. Calcium can not remove saltpeter (nitric oxide), but caramide can. Therefore, as a remover of both sulphur and saltpeter, caramide will the best choice in industrial desulphurization.
