Along with the rapid development of textile industry, higher quality yarn is required for market, and the effective way to improve the quality of the yarn is achieve automation in the spinning plant. In order to achieve spindles transport automatic between roving frame and spinning frame, Tianjin textile Machinery Company R & D the conveyor system to reduce the quality problems caused by people and improving the labor productivity. Meanwhile the safety and stability of the conveyor system must be considered.The Span of conveyor system belongs to large and complex mechanical structure. The way of experiment in tradition can not research the conveyor system, the finite element method, consider as the perfect method, is almost the only way to research the large and complex structure. Use of the finite element method to research the large and complex structure, the element model of structure is often very large, it will spend much too time and require very high hardware of computer to get result, even in most of time, the finite element model can not be calculated. So it is very important to research the rational method for simplying the structures of large and complex structure.The research purpose of the paper is the safety of conveyor system; the way of research is finite element method and finite element software. First of all, the large and complex structure fail modes are studied, the structure safety guideline is given from strength, stiffness, modal and stability. Then the finite element model of conveyor system is simplied and the simply method is proved to be rational. Then the finite element model of conveyor system is simulated from static analysis, modal analysis and buckling analysis, to research the safety of conveyor system. At last the important parts of conveyor system are optimized by ISIGHT and ANSYS integrated.The advanced process of structure design is design, simulation, experiment and optimization, the paper solves some problems of large and complex structure design by the conveyor system simulation and optimization, it is a explore process for scientific design method of large and complex structure.
