The factory is used to produce the board which is overlayed by HPL (High-pressureLaminate) with cold-pressing process. Cold-pressing prcess is benefical to maintain decorativepattern of HPL. But its production cycle is too long, its production efficiency is low. It isimportant to research hot-pressing process to improve the production efficiency. Interior plankfor railway bus often appear surface cracking problem in using precess. So it is important toresearch anti-cracking and other related performances. In this paper, emphasis is put on the thorough research to hot-pressing process andprevent cracking technology of HPL and plywood. All this study is based on previous researchand production practice. Research on the influence of pressure, dosage of cruing agent andglue amount to the quality of man-made board through orthogonal experiment. And then, establish the best hot-pressing process parameters. And research on anti-cracking technologyon the surface and glue line dehiscence through uv/condensing aging and cold heat cycle test, and the other related properties. From the result of the experiment, we concluded that the best hot-pressing processparameters: pressure:0.3MPa; dosage of cruing agent:4%; glue amount:260g/m2.Polyethylene glycol(PEG) is favorable to the improvement of anti-cracking performanceto the board. PEG was usually used for softening veneer. And the performance becoming morebetter along the increase of molecular weight(400,1000,4000). But the surface bond strengthdecreased along the increase of molecular weight(400,1000,4000).Inserting thin papers between the plywood and HPL is benefical to improveanti-cracking performance of the board. Thin papers is favorable to mitigate surface crackingphenomena of the board in some ways. But different insert direction of thin papers has lessinfluence to the anti-cracking performance. The surface bond strength decreased due to thetreatment of thin papers. The anti-cracking performance is better when tecture of the plywood and HPL areperpendicular.
