PAHs is a persistent organic pollutant, it has a long residual, bioaccumulative, semi-volatile and highly toxic. Through various environmental media (air, water, biological, etc.) PAHs Can migrate to human body causing serious harm to human health and the environment. Therefore, all countries are strengthen the monitoring of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.In this paper, an accurate analysis method for the trace Organic Pollutants, such as Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons(PAH) in fish tissues was investigated systematically in order to improve the traditional techniques. The pretreatment of sediment samples was also discussed, and an accurate GC-MS/MS method that simultaneously determinates 24 PAHs was set up.During the pretreatment, extraction of 24 PAHs was carried out by accelerated solvent extraction (ASE), and gel permeation chromatography (GPC) combined with solid-phase extraction was used to clean up the extraction. The conditions of extraction and purification are optimized in this papers.Compared the extraction efficiency of three different polar solvents and four extraction temperatures. Dichloromethane was used as extract solvent,100℃; meanwhile Dichloromethane as the GPC mobile phase, the collection efficiency of 24pahs in nine periods were studied finalizing the 3.5 mL·min-1 flow rate, collecting of 9~23min in the effluent. SPE purification by a small column of neutral alumina, With 7mLV(cyclohexane):V (dichloromethane)=3:7 elution solution. Average recoveries for 24 PAHs obtained by this pretreatment ranged from 86.8% to 117.1%, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) for the recovery ranged from 1.18% to 5.86%..The conditions of GC-MS/MS were developed for simultaneous determination of 24 PAHs in fish tissues samples.24 kinds of PAHs were well separated by the optimization of Multiple reaction monitoring mode.Under those conditions, RSD of GC-MS/MS was 0.48%-3.74%. The LOD and LOQ for the methods of 24 PAHs reached at 0.05~0.90 ng·g-1 and 0.16~3.02 ng·g-1 respectively. It has shown that the precision of these two methods were high.The established pretreatment and analysis method were applied successfully to fish tissue samples for the determination of 24 PAHs.
