Resorcinol is a widely used fine organic chemical raw materials, domestic and international market demand, have good prospects for development. The m-diisopropylbenzene oxidation process is an ideal technology by low pollution, compared with the traditional processes, and has obvious advantages in the preparation of resorcinol, but there are still includes some problems in the process such as corrosion damage equipments by liquid acid and the pollutant after reaction is difficult to deal with. Acid exchange resin has features contain mild acidic, channels moderate and environmentally friendly, this paper, is the alternative to traditional liquid acid catalyst, to catalyzed m-diisopropylbenzene oxidation (DHP) decomposition reaction.Analyze the thermodynamics of reaction system. The thermodynamic quality of each component reckoned by Joback group contribution method can used to calculate theΔH,ΔG andΔS of reaction and so on. The thermodynamic calculations of preparation of resorcinol though decomposition of DHP show that, under the conditions of P= 101.325KPa and T= 318.15~348.15K (45-75℃), in the main reactionΔG=-28.17~-127.077 kJ, the reaction is spontaneous reaction; in the adverse reactionΔG*= 9.58~153.908kJ, the reaction Gibbs free energy is more than zero, the reaction is non-spontaneous reaction. Through theΔrHmθ~T relationship, to provide a choice of temperature range, the 325-350K.Compared the catalysis of Amberlyst-15,732 and CT-175 acidic resin catalyst in the system. The results show that, Amberlyst-15 acidic resin catalyst has good catalysis in preparation of resorcinol and acetone through DHP decomposition. On decomposition of DHP catalyzed by Amberlyst-15 acidic resin, the single factor experiments to study effects of various process parameters on the reaction to find a suitable decomposition of DHP catalyzed by acid resin conditions:three in the 100ml bottle reactor is decomposition of 1.8g DHP, the reaction temperature is 65℃, the mass ratio of DHP and acetone solvent is M1= 3:40, the mass ratio of DHP and the Amberlyst-15 catalyst is M2=6:1, reaction time is 50 minutes.Select the four factors:temperature, reaction time, DHP and acetone solvent mass ratio (M1), DHP and the catalyst mass ratio (M2), to experiment with orthogonal experiments of four factors and three level, the better conditions of reaction consistent with the single factor experiments and in this condition, the translation rate of DHP is 95.3%, the production rate of resorcinol is 93%.Furthermore, the Kinetics of decomposition of DHP catalyzed by Amberlyst-15 and influence factors were investigated and concluded: When the catalyst particle size range<1.0mm, reactor stirring speed≥120r/min, the internal and external diffusion on the reaction is eliminate; when the initial concentration of DHP was 6.43% and 4.25%, the decomposition reaction of DHP catalyzed by Amberlyst-15 is basic consistent the rule of first order the reaction series n=1; change the temperature, the apparent activation energy of the main reaction can be obtained through Formula Arrhenius Ea=55.18 kJ/mol, reaction rate constant and temperature relationship is k=3.59×107×exp (-5.518×104/RT).
