Rotating packed bed is a new equipment in mass transfer field, which makes use of high speed rotation to promote mass transfer under the high-gravity environment. In this condition, shear force between the interphase liquid can conquer the surface tension, so that interfacial area could be magnified greatly which leads to a good mass transfer Compared with traditional tower, high-gravity apparatus has a smaller size and better mass transfer. This technology can be used in oil refining industry, biopharmaceuticals et al, so it has a wide application prospects.In this paper, gas-liquid interfacial area and liquid-side mass transfer coefficient of wire packing are determined by chemical absorption in a rotating packed bed under ordinary pressure.As to high concentration NaOH solution, gas-liquid interfacial area and liquid-side mass transfer coefficient could be regarded as two independence variables. So the gas-liquid interfacial area could be calculated by measuring the concentration of exit liquid and partial pressure of CO2. Furthermore, we have discussed the influence of rotating speed, spray density, gas flowrate and reactive temperature. For the low concentration of NaOH solution, gas-liquid interfacial area and liquid-side mass-transfer coefficient is sensitive. Also there is a equation could calculate these two parameters. Considering the gas-liquid interfacial area is a fluid mechanics parameter, under the same operate condition, mass-transfer coefficient could be calculated by the equation. At the same time, the trend could be obtained by changing the operate conditions.In this paper, absorbing the CO2 in the mix gas with the absorbing solution. It has changed by carbonate buffer solution. The kinetic constant has changed with the different concentrate of catalyst[ClO-1].The kinetic constant has the linear relation with gas-liquid interfacial area, the slope of the fitted curve is the function of gas-liquid interfacial area. The influence of the operate conditions should be studied by changing the rotating speed, spray density.
