Environmental issue is currently one of the biggest global problems. Environmental degradation seriously threatens human survival and continuable development of society. With the development of Chinese national economy, due to the large amount, complex composition, etc., industrial volatile organic compounds (VOCs) exhaust gas has severely polluted the atmosphere and attracted more and more attention. In this paper, the catalysts and process of industrial organic exhaust gas catalytic combustion were investigated. The performance of catalysts, the intrinsic kinetics of catalytic combustion, lateral line small experiment of industrial exhaust catalytic incineration and scaling-up design of the industrial exhaust catalytic incineration plant were studied. The adsorption of reactants on catalysts was researched through TPD. The Eley-Rideal intrinsic reaction rate model of single-component catalytic combustion was established. Exhaust gas was released from the lateral line of the industrial device, the performance of catalysts was evaluated, and the main process parameters of industrial devices were determined. Taking the catalytic incineration treatment process of 40,000 t/a acrylic plant's industrial exhaust as an example, the main equipments of the plant were initially designed, and the setting of the process was optimized. The technical and economic compare between catalytic incineration process and thermal incineration process explains the advantages of catalytic incineration process.
