Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a comprehensive performance barrier property polymer materials, but PET still can not meet its particular packaging requirements-permeability as a beer, beverage etc packing material. In order to satisfy the packages shelf life, PET materials still need further modification, coating medium barrier layer on PET substrate surface is unceasingly interest themes in the areas of packaging. at present, in Japan, the United States, Europe and other developed countries silicon oxidation medium barrier material on PET have developed a series SiOx composite films because PET have good barrier properties, extensive temperature range of use, good microwave through sexual, excellent transparency and recycling, environmental friendly and pollution-free replaced the traditional glass bottles and aluminum-plastic composite packaging materials, in favor of the medium barrier material and obtained satisfied packing validity and consumer praise,.This subject adopts laboratory existing equipments MWECR plasma devices to deposit SiOx on PET substrate using Hexamethyldisiloxane ( HMDSO) as monomer, argon as the carrier, oxygen for response gas. D-uring silicon oxide preparation process, changing the plasma power, sedi-mentary time, work pressure, oxygen and monomer ratio of parameters. F-ourier infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), optoelectronic (EDX), scanning elect r-on microscopy (SEM), the contact Angle, tensile test enginery, visible li g-ht transmittance, oxygen through rate tester of silica for plating PET fil m molecular structure, surface morphology, and mechanical properties, opt ic-al properties and resistance oxygen properties is a detailed study.Research results show that the MWECR plasma devices can deposit excellent oxidation silicon blocking material on PET base material with g-ood adhesion deposition. And plasma power, sedimentary time and oxyg-en with monomer ratio are the main parameters affecting PET's performa-nce. Through the analysis, the results show that in the reaction 500W, o-xygen with monomer ratio is 1:1. And the oxygen through rate is lowes-t when deposition time is 50 minutes.
