The transition metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions to form sp2 C-C or C-heteroatom bonds have received considerable attention in the past dexades. In comparision with Pd and Ni, copper is a cheaper metal with lower toxicity.1.A Copper(II)-Catalyzed Tandem Synthesis of Substituted 3-Methyl Eneisoindolin -1-onesCu(OAc)2·H2O/2, 2'-biimidazole catalyzed coupling of 2-iodobenzamides (or 2-bromobenzamides) and terminal alkynes in DMF at 60°C and subsequent additive cyclization produces substituted 3-methyleneisoindolin-1-ones. This reaction system was novel, mild and efficient.2. Palladium- and ligand-free Sonogashira reaction catalyzed by CuI nanoparticles An efficient CuI nanoparticles catalyzed Sonogashira-type coupling reaction of aryl halides with terminal alkynes is described. The couplings could be successfully carried out in the absence of the palladium, ligands and any activator. The desired products are isolated in good yields (up to 99%).3. Research on the three component coupling reaction of aldehyde, alkyne and amine catalyzed by CuI nanoparticles A highly efficient catalyst, CuI nanoparticles, was investigated to catalyze three- componet (A3) coupling reaction of aldehydes, alkynes and amines. It gave the corresponding propargylamines in good to excellent yields under the solvent-free condition and besides, CuI nanoparticles could be easily recovered and maintained activation in repetitious use.4. Research on the reaction of guanidinylation of aryl Iodides catalyzed by CuI NanoparticlesThis part gave a novel way to synthesize a series of substituted iodobenzene from aniline as the starting material based on the Sandmeyer Reaction and characterised the products with related spectroscopy datas. In addition, we studied the reaction of guanidinylation of aryl iodides catalyzed by CuI Nanoparticles which gave a good yield.
