Aniline, as a harmful pollutant for our health, has attracted a lot of concern. The treatments of aniline wastewater always are physical, chemical and biological methods by primarily, but the cost of treatment of aniline by physical method is high, and the physical methods produce secondary pollution easily. The chemical methods have not a valuable treatment effect, and the anti-shock loading capability is not very good as well. Therefore, the treatment of aniline wastewater by microorganism is a main research direction. The cultivation of PSB and the degradation of aniline by photosynthetic bacteria under different processing conditions, such as pH, carbon source, biomass content of photosynthetic bacteria, illumination and temperature were studied in this dissertation, as well as the change of pH TOC, TN was also considered in the reactor. The results of cultivation experiment indicated that: the biomass content, pH, temperature, illumination intensity and carbon source affected the growth of photosynthetic bacteria. It also influenced on the color, cycle of growth, biomass concentration of photosynthetic bacteria. The optimal condition of growth of photosynthetic bacteria was that biomass content 30%, pH between 7 to 7.5, the temperature between 30℃to 35℃, illumination intensity between 2400Lx to 4800Lx, using sodium acetate as carbon source. The results of degradation experiment show that, while the initial concentration of aniline was 100 mg/L, the optimum pH condition for the degradatioin of aniline was 7 and the temperature was 30℃, illumination intensity was 4800Lx, the degradation efficiency reached 90% after 7 days treatment while initial bacteria ratio equals to 30% and using sodium acetate as carbon source. The results of pilot test indicate that, the pH of aniline wastewater rise from 7 to 9, after aniline wastewater being treated by PSB in pilot plant for 15days, the TOC of aniline wastewater could be reduced from 90mg/L to 70mg/L, and the removing rate of TOC was 22.2%, the TN of aniline wastewater could be reduced from 15mg/L to 13mg/L,and the removing rate of TN was 13.3%.
