Red afterglow materials have always been the focus of research . In recent years, red afterglow is found in some silicate materials. Then the synthesis of nano-materials with red afterglow will further expand the applications of red afterglow materials in the industrial, medical, biological imaging and nanotechnological fields.Under the carbon oxide reducing circumstances, we successfully prepared red silicate luminescent nano-material Ca0.2Zn0.9Mg0.9Si2O6:Eu2+,Dy3+,Mn2+. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffractometer, fluorescence spectrophotometer and phosphorescence spectrophotometer . Its red emission peaked at 660 nm in this work. As we know, the Mn2+ emission can be strongly affected by the changes of crystal field. In order to obtain near-infrared luminescence for biological imaging, we explored the impact of different annealing methods and the ratio of cations in the materials on the Mn2+ emission. Therefore, we have found the best conditions for the Mn2+ red emission.
