With the development of economy the stainless steel has been wildly used in many fields with its favorable corrosion resistance and attrition resistance and mechanical working properties. It can get a new ideal menterial with metal color and higher corrosion resistance by suface coloring on stainless steel, which can take the fation of increasing erosion resistance and decoration.Major content of this paper is listed as follows:(1) By analying the influence of the CrO3,H2SO4 concentration, coloring temperature and the amount of additives on the oxidation coloring result, to determine the best technical parameters through the oxidation mechanism.(2) By comparing the impact of different methods of sealing process to stainless steel corrosion resistance of colored films to determine the best treatment process.(3) Through analysing the failure reasons of coloring solution and the effect on rebirth, analysing the regeneration of the two methods of being oxidized by KMnO4 or (NH4)2S2O8.The results show that:the concentration and temperature can accelerate the coloring speed and affect the appearance quality of the film; the additive can improve the gloss colored membrane and increase the corrosion resistance and attrition resistance; after the film is sealed the corrosion resistance is increased which has the highest corrosion resistance after double sealed; through analysing the film by SEM and EDS, we know that the film is made up of Cr,Fe,Mn and their oxide form. It's sueface is compact and smooth, without obvious disfigurement. Through analysing and compareing, we foud that the recycle methods of being oxidized by KMnO4 or (NH4)2S2O8 were feasible, and the method of being oxidized by KMnO4 was suited that it was used in factory which has a lot of coloring solution, the method of being oxidized by (NH4)2S2O8 was suited in laboratory which has a small quantity of coloring solution.
