Human noroviruses(NoV) is a group of Calicivirus, mainly transmit through the fecal-oral route. In this study, we concentrated noroviruses with porcine gastric mucin-conjugated magnetic beads(HBGA-PGM) technology by PGM-MB method. The elution buffer for eluting NoV from different food matrix and extraction methods of viral RNA with PGM-MB concentration were evaluated. We studied the applicability of PGM-MB method with seven GI, Gâ…ˇ-type strains of noroviruses and the integrity of noroviruses adsorbed by PGM-MB. We developed methods of detection noroviruses in different food matrices with PGM-MB and PEG8000 concentration, and compared the results of these two methods, In addition, the detection of noroviruses in shellfish with PGM-MB method was also studied.The results show that the concentration power of PGM-MB with most of the GI, Gâ…ˇnorovirus strains was well, and the noroviruses adsorbed by PGM-MB was integral with potentially infectious. Compared with PEG8000 precipitation, PGM-MB method has better recoveries and lower detection limits with significantly less time. Therefore, PGM-MB method was applicable for detection noroviruses in different food matrices.
