The gas-liquid two phases flow in scrubbing cooling room was mainly studied in the thesis, and the main effects by liquid properties on two-phase flow characteristics and droplet entrainment phenomenon in separation space were analyzed.The study showed that in different solution, with the increase of superficial gas velocity, the local gas holdup and interface concentration increased, and the bubble diameter and its climbing speed decreased on the bed; droplet entrainment fraction increased in separation space. With the changes of liquid properties, there were different effects on two-phase fluid flow and droplet entrainment phenomenon. When liquid viscosity increased, the local gas holdup, bubble velocity and interface concentration decreased, while the bubble diameter increased. The polymerization on bubble populations was greater than resistance by viscosity. When surface tension decreased, local gas holdup increased, and the bubble diameter first increased and then decreased, while there was no obvious effect on bubble velocity and interface concentration. In the outlet of scrubbing cooling room, when the viscosity of liquid increased or surface tension decreased, the entrainment phenomenon had the trend of increasing. Meanwhile, compared with viscosity, the influence of surface tension was more significant on droplet entrainment.The paper had the effects on two-phase flow characteristics in two different structure size devices for further study. The research showed that, the diameter and internal structure of device mainly influence on the fluid flowing. Larger diameter made the gas holdup higher, bubble diameter and rising velocity a litter bigger, and interface concentration smaller. In consequence, the equipment with larger diameter made fluid easier to flow in scrubbing cooling room.
