The Measuring System Of Three-direction Cutting Force

Based on the rapid development of CNC lathe, the request on CNC tool is become higher and higher, the need for the measurement of cutting force has become increasingly prominent. For the drawbacks and deficiencies of current three-turning force measurement system, this paper presents new view for the measuring system of three-direction cutting force, and have done some about it.First, for the issue that the current three-force sensors have the shortcoming of lower sensitivity, when they measure the cutting force, there is interference among the numerical of three direction, and it's hard for the sensor to measure the cutting force of three directions independently. This paper has done some research on the three-strain force sensors, and then to propose a new design philosophy for the three-axis turret, and completed the design of it. At last, Using ABAQUS to analysis the different designs for the final optimal results.Secondly, according to the functional requirements of the three-direction cutting force measuring system, this paper have finished a data acquisition and processing system, which is developed on LabVIEW. The system includes some functions such as data acquisition, data processing, data display, data storage and data playback, data comparison and so on, and also development a friendly interpersonal interface to meet the needs of the system. It is very user-friendly.Finally, have chosen a right test environment, and then done a lot of on-site experiments, gathering a large amount of experimental data. At last, the paper analyzed and compared the data of the experiments in some different ways. Through the analysis of experimental results, we can get many other indicators of performance and assessment parameters about lathe tools, materials, machine tools and so on.Through the system's experiments and the analysis of the experiment's result, we can know that the measuring system of three-direction cutting force improves the accuracy of cutting force measurements, and provides experimental data for the studies on turnings and lathes.
