With the development of the artificial vascular graft manufacture techniques and the EVR(endovascular repair), the expect of artificial blood vessels is more and more, and people expect the artificial blood vessels to get the whole performance of truth blood vessels. On the one hand, the host blood vessels is tapered, not straight, and the simulated experiments have proved that the artificial vasculars are considerably different from the tapered ones in the axail velocity profile, and the straight artificial vascular can't be used to replace the tapered blood vessel in simulated experiments. The other hand, the reangiostenosis at suture caused by different diameter suture remain to be solved. Therefore, research on the manufacture of a new variable diameter artificial blood vessels is the hot points and difficulties of domestic and foreign researchers.But now, there are kinds of shortcomings in current manufacture technology of tapered artificial blood vessels, and these vessels can not achieve the requirements of the EVR. Therefore, in order to get a good sample of tapered artificial blood vessel, the designe and manufacture of a new type of variable diameter artificial blood vessel was introduced. And the rigid rapier sampling weaving machine was modified to meet the request of the new design.First, the simulation by the software. The FLUENT was used to simulate intravascular blood flow of five different shapes, Mainly for different diameter blood vascular suture. The result showed that one model has the best flow stability and flexural capacity. So this model was chosen to be as design consignment of the tapered fabric structure.Second, the modification of waeving loom. According to the shape we choose by the simulation, the Warp density changed weaving method was introduced, and the idea of combining of special reed and lifting devices of front rest was proposed. The hardware of rigid rapier sampling weaving machine was modified to meet the request of the tapered artificial vascular weaving.Again, the design of control procedure. According to equal tightess design, a new weaving procedure controled software was programming. It is very important for the realization of the automative weaving of tapered vessels.Then, the testweaving and post-processing was followed. And the weaving loom modification and the parameters design was improved in the testweaving process. Mainly 30D/12f×3 and 30D/12f polyester multifilament polyester multifilament fabric was testweaved. Meanwhile, in order to achieve better performance, the post-processing was followed, including decontamination, rolling light and heat setting.Finally, the performance test. Compared to the request of artificial blood vessel for the EVR, the strength, thickness and permeability of samples was tested. The result showed that the sample of (30D/12fx3 polyester) x (30D/12f polyester) achieved the request well.
