High-frequency hardening takes an important part in heating processing technology for automobile parts. Because of only heating workpiece surface, easy operation and easy to realize automation, high-frequency hardening technology has been wildly used. Apply high-frequency hardening to piston rod, the hardening surface could improve its impact resistance and abrasive resistance. However, the hardening precision of present equipment is not high enough, the hardening length of workpiece has a serious deviation, which limits the production quality. Therefore, accuracy control of hardening length, improve the quality of hardening production has become a problem that is exigent to be solved.In this paper, the goal of machine tool design is to improve the quality of the product and precision of quenching control. Ensure the quality and precision of the products, at the same time, efforts to achieve machine simple structure, low cost, high efficiency and convenience operation requirements.On the basis of understanding the basic induction heating treatment process, the processing object and its main technical requirements, and the existing conditions, determine the work frequency, heating power, heating method, and cooling schemes, according to the existing practical experience. For the main scheme of the machine tool, determine the main parameters of machine tools and machining scope, completed the design of the machine tool.Using ANSYS coupling field to process the simulation analysis of induction heating, simulation using load delivering method, using ANSYS Multi-field solver, to confirm the main technical parameters of induction heat treatment system, in order to meet the quenching requirements of hardening characteristic curve, hardened layer depth, the hardness, etc. Obtain the main technical parameters according to the induction heating treatment simulation, and combine it with actual experience, to determine the working parameters of quenching machine tool, in the end, analyze and summarize the results.
