Nano-polyphenylsilsesquioxane (PPSQ) is a kind of organic-inorganic hybrid material, with Si-O being its backbone and organic group---phenyl as the side chain, providing high heat resistance, lubrication, polymer material's toughness and high elasticity. In this paper, the PPSQ particles were synthesized by hydrolytic condensation of phenyltrimethoxysilane with basic as catalyst. Different grain diameter particles can obtain through change the proportion of water/monomer,hydrolysis time,temperature. The structure and performance of PPSQ was confirmed by FT-IR spectroscopes, H-NMR, SEM, XPS, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The results indicated that PPSQ particles had a certain ordered structure, a narrow size distribution and high thermal stability.Nano-ammonia/PPSQ particles with diameters 100nm were prepared via hydrolytic condensation reaction using KH-550 and phenyltrimethoxysilane as raw materials. The structure and performance of ammonia/nano-PPSQ particles was confirmed by FT-IR spectroscopes, H-NMR, SEM, XPS, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).The results of TG showed that the nano-ammonia/PPSQ particles have good thermal stability properties and its amount of residual carbon is 50% at the temperature 800℃.The random copolymer poly-methyl methacrylate -vinylacetate [P (MMA-VAc)] was synthesized via solution copolymerization, with methyl methacrylate(MMA) and vinylacetate(VAc) as monomers, and the gel polymer electrolyte(GPE) comprising a blend of the corresponding copolymer P (MMA-VAc) as a host polymer. Analysis of FT-IR spectra indicated that MMA copolymerized with VAc monomers by breaking their own double bonds.The TG showed that the GPE possess excellent thermal stability. When the composite polymer electrolytes contain 7wt% of PPSQ, it exhibited excellent ionic conductivity up to 3.17×10-3s/cm.
