Steam distillation was used to extract plant essential oils from11plant materials. Fumigating insecticidal activity of the11essential oils and their mixtures against adults of Culex piPins quinquefasciatus was investigated by triangle conical bottle airtight fumigation memod and electric mat laboratory efficacy test method.Then detect the oils by GC-MS(Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry).The research was aimed at finding out perfect prescription of plant essential oil to against the mosquitos.The main ruslts are given as follows:(1)Essential oils were extracted from Illicium verum fruits,Illcium lanceolatum fruits,Elsholtzia argyi plant,Elsholtzia hunanensis plant,Zanthoxylum kwangsiense fruits. Murraya tetramera leaves,Zanthoxylum austrosinense fruits.Zanthoxylum ailanthoides fruits, Cinnamomum camphora leaves, Cinnamomum peduculatum leaves and Cinnamomum camphora fruits.The LC50values of the11essential oils'fumigating insecticidal activity onder triangle conical botte airtight fumigation method and electric mat;aboratory efficacy test method were14.39/7.39/17.49/26.87/20.07/8.73/30.44/51.63/27.82/31.11/34.67å'Œ3.01/1.80/4.06/4.75/8.51/2.58/7.72/4.99/7.47/5.70/4.92μg·mL-1respectively.(2)Oils were mixed in volume ratio of0:10,1:9,3:7,5:5,7:3,9:1,10:0,and their LC50values of fumigating insecticidal activity under triangle conical bottle airtight fumigation method and electric mat laboratory efficacy test method were as follows;Mixed oils of Illicium verum and Illicium,lanceolatum fruit:12.14/11.85/13.43/13.43/16.16μg·mL-1and2.49/2.26/2.15/2.24/3.72μg·mL-1ï¼›Mixed Oils of Elsholtzia argyi and Elsholtzia unanensis:40.79/38.44/47.77/45.20/43.85μg·mL-1and2.82/2.78/2.64/3.08/2.68μg·mL-1ï¼›Mixed oils of Zanthoxylum kwangsiense fruits and Murraya tetramera:21.01/17.80/19.50/22.14/16.57μg·mL-1and3.41/3.38/2.69/2.69/4.57μg·mL-1ï¼›Mixed Oils of Zanthoxylum austrosinense and Zanthoxylum ailanthoides fruits:39.33/49.72/61.19/43.81/31.05μg.mL-1and2.69/3.10/2.93/3.53/3.48μg.mL.Mixed Oils of Cinnamomum camphora and Cinnamomum pedunculatum leaves:48.28/33.69/35.68/29.38/41.65μg.mL-1and3.84/3.88/5.88/8.69/5.37 μg·mL-1;Mixed oils of Cinnamomum camphora fruits and Cinnamomum pedunculatum leaves:43.47/42.76/35.79/33.06/46.29μg·mL-1and3.58/10.50/3.61/3.67/3.88μg·mL'The follow groups showed synergy effects:Elsholtzia argyi combined Elsholtzia hunanensis (1:9,3:7,5:5,9:1), Zanthoxylum kwangsiense fruits combined Murraya tetramera (7:3,9:1), Zanthoxylum austrosinense combined Zanthoxylum ailanthoides (1:9,3:7,5:5,7:3,9:1), Cinnamomum camphora combined Cinnamomum pedunculatum (1:9,3:7) while2group of Zanthoxylum austrosinense combined Zanthoxylum ailanthoides (5:5,9:1) in the synergy effects groups showed obvious action with the CTC exceeds200.(3) The GC-MS analysis rusult shows:the11spiecies of oil contain many compounds which have fumigataon activity and repellent activity against mosquitoesThe above results showed the11kinds of materials in our experiments all have efficient fumigating insecticidal activity against adult of Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus while some combined oils have preferable synergy effects. This research provided a good theoretical basis and references for the area of botanical anophelifuge.
