Phenol is an important organic chemical raw materials, mainly for the manufacture of phenolic resin, cyclohexanol, bisphenol A, epoxy, carbonate, polysulfone, o-cresol and aniline. Phenol is currently the main source of industry, in addition to coal tar or petroleum slipped out of the material from the extract, the rest are chemical synthesis. Hydrogen peroxide benzene prepared Qianghua the only by-product phenol is water, with a line of short, high atom economy, pollution, and other prominent advantages, has been considered the favorite to replace the synthesis of phenol cumene A cleaner production methods, has also been a focus of the study countries. This paper prepared by hydrothermal synthesis side of the catalyst TS-1. Using XRD, FT-IR, SEM and other means of its characterization. The results show that the zeolite catalyst prepared with the obvious features.Based on a large number of domestic and foreign literatures investigation, the direct hydroxylation process of benzene to phenol by selecting TS-1 zeolites as catalyst, hydrogen peroxide as oxidant, and ammonium hydroxide as aminating agent is proposed in this paper. The effects of reaction temperature, reaction time, oxidant amount and different aminating agents on the hydroxylation have been investigated. The product was analyzed by GC-MS. the optimum reaction condition is determined as follows:reaction temperature 40℃, reaction time 2 h, catalyst 2.0 g, oxidant amount 20.0 mL,30 mL of 30% ammonium hydroxide, the yeild of phenol is 66.32%.Mechanism analysis on the formation of different products is made. As for this progress conditions, Variation of reaction conditions have obvious influence on kinds of resultant, low temperature is in favour of the formation of phenol; high temperature in favour of the formation of nitrobenzene, which is ascribed to aniline being oxidized that is produced during the progress.
