Energy is the prerequisite and basis of human survival and development.As oil, coal and other fossil fuel is limited. Meanwhile, harmful substances in emissions due to burning of fossil fuels and plastic polymers can cause severe environmental pollution. Compared with fossil fuels, biomass has the advantages of renewable, low pollution and high yield, etc. more and more attention has been paid to it. Therefore, biomass and plastic pyrolysis technologies have been considered to be one of the most potential for development of biomass application technology.The pyrolysis characteristics of pine/LDPE were studied in this paper. First, pyrolysis of pine and LDPE was undertook respectively to analyze their own behavior to provided a basis for carrying out co-pyrolysis. Then the co-pyrolysis of the mixed samples were done under microwave heating. The effects of the microwave power, reaction time and composition of the samples on the conponents and their content in the bio-oil were investigated. So did three additves. i.e., sepiolite. Fe2(SO4)3, Al2O3. The influence of the additive percentages in samples on the product distribution was also studied. The process parameters corresponding to maximum bio-oil yield have been obtained, which provided instrucitons for futher orienting conversion or refining.We found that both pine and LDPE can pyrolyze at270℃-48℃and they can co-pyrolysis is possible. Three addtives can promote some certain conponents formation in the bio-oil respectively.When the microwave power is between800W-1000W, Al2O3can promote phenols and ketones formation, whereas sepiolite can promote phenols formaiton at much lower powder. The role of sepiolite is supposed to be investigated further due to its enery reduciton effect. When the ratio of pine/LDPE is10:2and microwave is600W, furfural pecentage in the bio-oil reaches22.19%.which indicates that Fe2(SO4)3can promote furfural formation dramatically.
