YunTianHua Group has researched the study that produce Mg(OH)2and NH4C1by Brine-ammonia method in order to deal with the magnesium chloride brine which is the byproduct of postassium salt producing in laos. However, there is almost no industrial infrastructure in lao PDR, the ammonia need to buy from China or Thailand that makes the production cost is too high. And the production of NH4CI as fertilizer products have no consumer market in lao PDR.So we propose a technology which use the rich dolomite mine resources in lao PDR to produce alkaline-earth metals oxides, the alkaline-earth metals oxides can react with NH4Cl generate ammonia and basic salt under the certain tenperature, the ammonia can cycle to produce Mg(OH)2, the basic salt can use as protective material was painted on the soluble potash deposits. This paper throught laboratory research to explore the feasibility of the technology, some important results and conclusions were as follows.(1) Under the conditions of the reactant mix uniformly and join convert agent into the mixture. Throught single factor experiment researched the effect of reaction temperature, reaction time and reactant moral ratio on the NH4Cl thermal decomposition with MgO produce NH3and basic salt technology. On this basis, orthogonal test were carried out for the optimum conditions:the reactant moral ratio(Nconvert agent:NMgO:NNH4Cl)=1.3:1:0.6; the reaction temperature is350℃; the reaction time is30min. And under optimum conditions the ammonia chloride decomposition rate at91.24%, the sloid product(2) Under the conditions of the reactant mix uniformly and join convert agent into the mixture. Throught single factor experiment researched the effect of reaction temperature, reaction time and reactant moral ratio on the NH4Cl thermal decomposition with Mg(OH)2produce NH3and basic salt technology. On this basis, orthogonal test were carried out for the optimum conditions:the reactant moral ratio (NMg(OH)2:NNH4Cl=1:0.7, the reaction temperature is375℃; the reaction time is60min. And under optimum conditions the ammonia chloride decomposition rate at 94.42%.(3) Under the conditions of the reactant mix uniformly and join convert agent into the mixture. Throught single factor experiment researched the effect of reaction temperature, reaction time and reactant moral ratio on the NH4Cl thermal decomposition with CaO produce NH3and basic salt technology. On this basis, orthogonal test were carried out for the optimum conditions:the reactant moral ratio (NCaO:NNH4Cl)=1:0.55, the reaction temperature is325℃; the reaction time is75min. And under optimum conditions the ammonia chloride decomposition rate at98.37%.(4) X-ray diffraction was used to analysis the product composition.(5) Explores one technology that use the solid product to prepare a kind of magnesium oxychloride cement that have better adhesive property and better brine-resistance.
