Fluoropolymers are a class of high performance materials known for their excellent combination of chemical, physical and mechanical properties. This class of advanced materials is currently widely applied in aerospace, optics, electronics and other high technology fields. In recent years, partially fluorinated polymers containing 1,2,3-triazolyl rings have been developed for their excellent processability, optical transparency, high temperature performance and low dielectric constants. These performances make them good candidates for a variety of applications, such as high performance structure coatings, interlayer dielectrics, circuit board laminas, dielectric wave guides and optical cladding layers.In this dissertation, a novel class of linear polymers containing 1,2,3-triazolyl units have been described. These polymers were readily prepared by the reactions of diethynyl compuunds with diazido compounds that is defined as'click chemistry'. This dissertation included the following two parts of work.Firstly, From cheap and readily available materials, the two monomers 1,4-diethynyl-2,5-difluorobenzene (3) and 1,2-bis(4-ethynylphenoxy)perfluorocyclobutane (6) were successfully synthesized by several steps of simple reactions. At the same time, several diazido compounds were also designed and prepared successfully.Secondly, fluorinated polymers containing 1,2,3-triazolyl units were synthesized by "Click Chemistry" under standard reaction condition. These resulting polymers were characterized by FI-IR,1H NMR and 19F NMR spectra. At last, the solubility, molecular weight and thermal properties of the resulting fluorinated polymers were also investigated. These polymers exhibited good solubilities, reasonable molecular weights and high thermal stabilities.
