With the continuous development of industrialization process,substantially production of oily sewage leads to more and more pressure ofenvironmental protection. Conventional sewage treatment process has beenunable to satisfy treatment requirements. In order to adapt demand of industrydevelopment, sewage treatment process and equipment should more efficientand environmental protection.In this thesis, experimental research of conventional sewage treatmenttechnology and microwave demulsigication technology at home and abroadwere summarized. Base on the previous work, a microwave demulsificationsystem was designed, whose frequency is2450MHZ and power iscontinuously tunable from100W to1000W. First, base on the electromagneticfield theory, dimensions of microwave resonator was calculated. Usingsimulation software HFSS, electromagnetic field distribution andelectromagnetic field intensity of microwave resonator cavity was simulated,and structural of microwave resonator cavity was optimized. According tonumerical simulation result, position of channel in the resonator cavity was scientific arranged. Finally, Cylindrical was selected as the structural ofmicrowave resonator cavity, whose length is430mm and diameter is300mm.Coupling mode of microwave resonator cavity using indirect coupling,BJ-26of rectangular waveguide was selected as coupling device, whose highis100mm. Base on correlation national standard and design condition,structure design and strength calculation of microwave resonator cavity wascompleted. Manufacturer, installation, commissioning and operation of themicrowave demulsification system were completed.The demulsification effect was studied experimentally usingself-designed microwave enhanced demulsigication system, and the power,flow, settling time on the demulsification were examined respectively, the oilcontent of oily sewage which is treated using microwave as compared withthat in the untreated lily sewage. Under the optimum conditions of power650W,flow20L/h, the results show that the final oil removal rate could be upto77.4%, which is in keeping with the expect of current.
