Coal mine geological conditions get more complex and mining gas get more serious with the depth of coal bed increase. PanJi mining area of HuaiNan coalfield, which is located to the wings and the turning side of PanJi anticline, are all high-gas and coal and gas outburst mine, and13-1coal seam of this mining area occurred coal and gas outburst for34times, the coal and gas outburst has been becoming a threat to safe production. So this article focuses on the distribution of gas content to study geological characteristics of13-1coal seam.In this paper, PanJi mining area was divided into six gas geological units based on the two aspects of gas migration and retention. The gas content of each gas geological unit was collected, the influence of gas content with geological structure, coal seam depth, seam surrounding rock, coal thickness was quantitatively analyzed. Structural complexity coefficient was used to evaluate geological structure on gas content, and influence coefficient was uesd to evaluate coal seam surrounding rock on gas content.Mathematical model was established to evaluate the correlation between each factor and gas content on the basis of quantitative evalution of each factor to gas content. Geological factors that have significant linear relationship was selected to eastablish multiple linear regression model and BP network model, and gas content data that collected during geological exploration and production period of each gas geological units were used to verify the models. The results showed that:the prediction accuracy of BP network is higher than that of multiple liner regression model. Drilling gas content of non-mining was predicted based on BP network to provide theoretical basis to.prevent gas disaster for PanJi mining area.
