The method of combining theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and experimentalresearch is adopted. The coalescence property of gas-injected helical coalescer and thecoalescer within the fluid flow are studied. The influence factors of the coalescer are analyzedtheoretically. The structure parameters of the coalescer are optimized by using numericalsimulation method. The experimental study verifies the rationality of the model.From the force and motion law of the oil droplets in the fluid,the relationship betweenthe structural parameters of the coalescer and the coalescence ability of the coalescer isanalyzed theoretically, and the time of the oil droplets coalescence in the coalescer is brieflyintroduced. The collision mechanism and collision probability between bubbles and oildroplets in floating coalescence is introduced, and the influence of the centrifugal force fieldand the particle size of bubble on the coalescence are analyzed.By the Fluent software simulation, the structure parameters of the coalescer aredetermined, and the floating coalescence is simulated, the particle size of bubble and theinfluence of gas injection rate on the coalescence is determined. By numerical simulation andanalysis for the velocity field and pressure field of the coalescer, the law of the velocity fieldand pressure field of the coalescer is elucidated.The feasibility of coalescer design based on the simulation analysis is verified by theexperimental study, at the same time the pressure loss of the coalescer is analyzed by theexperiments, and the relationship between the pressure loss and the structural parameters ofthe coalescer is determined.This work provides certain theoretical basis and reference for the further research of thecoalescer.
