As a research object of Nantaizi YiLi coal, we investigated the effect of theiron-based catalysts, such as Fe2O3,oil-soluble of Fe2O3,Fe2S3,FeS,ores andFe(NO3)3on the products distribution of this coal pyrolysis, with the atmosphere ofH2and N2. We also taking Ni(NO3)2as a contrast catalyst. At first, we investigated the effects of the pyrolysis temperature and the reactiveatmosphere on the distributions of the pyrolysis products. From these experimentalresults, we could ensure that650℃could be the appropriate temperature of coalcatalytic pyrolysis, and the suitable atmosphere was H2. With this kind of reactionconditions, the char yields reached62.60%, the tar yields reached11.87%, the gasyields reached17.57%, and the water yields reached7.96%. When the reactiveatmosphere was N2, we take its products distributions as comparison, its char yieldsreached65.05%, the tar yields reached9.7%, the gas yields reached17.10, and thewater yields reached8.14%.Secondly, when the temperature was650℃and the reactive atmosphere was H2,we investigated the effects of iron-based catalysts Fe2O3,Fe2O3+S,oil-soluble ofFe2O3, Fe2S3,FeS,pyrite,sulfur concentrate, oolitic stone, sulfur concentrate+S,oolitic stone+S and Fe(NO3)3on the coal products distributions. And we weretaking Ni(NO3)2·6H2O as a contrast catalyst. Moreover, we also investigatediron-based catalysts on products distributions when the reactive atmosphere was N2,inorder to make a comparison with the productions distribution when the reactiveatmosphere was H2.The experiments result showed that:⑴as the reactive atmosphere was H2, weconsidered iron-based catalysts as the research object, with the catalyst of Fe(NO3)3,we could get the lowest char yield which was55.16%, reduced percentage points of7.44. With the catalyst of oil-soluble of Fe2O3, we could get the largest tar yield whichwas16.22%, increased percentage points of4.35. With the catalyst of FeS, we could get the largest gas yield which was23.26%, increased percentage points of5.69. Andfor the catalyst of Ni(NO3)2, it had an important influence on the coal pyrolysis. Thechar yield was45.66%, reduced percentage points of16.94. The gas yield was27.02%, increased percentage points of9.45. And the tar yield changed just a little.⑵When the reactive atmosphere was N2, using iron-based catalysts, the oil-soluble ofFe2O3got the lowest char yield which was61.51%, reduced percentage points of3.92,and its tar yield was the largest which was12.05%, increased percentage points of2.47. And when the catalyst was Ni(NO3)2, the char yield was63.09%,reducedpercentage points of1.98. The tar yield was5.69%, reduced percentage points of4.01.And the gas yield was22.67%, increased percentage points of5.57.Finally, whichever the catalyst was, when the reactive atmosphere was H2, thewater yield all increased. Especially when the catalyst was Ni(NO3)2, there had thebiggest growth, increased percentage points of8.29. When the reactive atmospherewas N2, the water yield nearly unchanged, even had a slightly reduced.
